COSTA RICA: Sights, Sounds and Recollections, a talk by Angela McLean. Thursday, November 20, 7 pm. There will be pottery items for sale to benefit Costa Rican school children.

ROXBURY BOOK GROUP: meets next on Tuesday, November 25th, 7 pm. This month's book to discuss is True North, by Jim Harrison. All are welcome!

RIF DISTRIBUTION a big success: In the past week, we have distributed free paperback books to 75 children in the Roxbury school, two local daycares and at the library. We welcome any Roxbury residents with preschool children who may have missed the distribution to bring them to the library to choose their book. Our aim is to have children take ownership of their good reading habits!

BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE: We are inching closer and closer to finishing a beautiful and functional addition to the library. Most recently, Norwich University architecture students have installed the structure of our new accessible ramp and entryway. We could use some volunteer help installing the Trex decking on the ramp! The interior has been beautifully improved by the installation of the new bathroom floor. It is a green and white star pattern of verde antique and proctor marble designed and installed by local resident Adam Jackson. This gift to the library is so appreciated, and will be the crowning glory of an already beautiful and comfortable space for generations of Roxbury residents to come. Please stop in to see the starry floor and use the new sitting area.
