MONTPELIER - Capital City Concerts has announced that the Walsh-Drucker-Cooper Trio will appear at the Unitarian Church on Sunday, April 5, 4 p.m.

The New York City-based piano trio comprised of Eugene Drucker (violinist with the Emerson String Quartet), Roberta Cooper (cellist with the American Symphony), and pianist Diane Walsh (who has been soloist with numerous orchestras including the Stuttgart and Berlin Radio Symphonies) will be joined by flutist Karen Kevra for a uniquely personal concert, "The Intimacy of J.S. Bach". In addition to chamber music, each of the four musicians will perform a solo suite for their individual instrument.

Printed commentary on the history of the compositions and on each of the musicians personal relationship to it will be included in the program.

"For musicians there is no avoiding Bach. We evolve in our relationship to his music over the course of our lives", said Karen Kevra, Capital City Concerts artistic director and Grammy nominated flutist. "In the beginning Bach is our duty; as we develop, our vocation; and finally, our passion. This concert provides a rare intimate view of musicians relating personally and directly to the music, our instruments and the audience."

The program includes the French Suite No. 5 in G major, BWV 816 for piano, the Cello Suite No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1009, the Flute Partita in A minor, BWV 1013, and the great Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor, BWV

1004 which concludes with the monumental Chaconne. All four musicians will join together in a performance of Bach's Trio Sonata in G major BWV 1038.
