MONTPELIER - Dear Patrons, Friends and Supporters of Kellogg-Hubbard Library,

Irish Dreams

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, here's a sampling of some library holdings.

• The Red-Haired Girl from the Bog: The Landscape of Celtic Myth and Spirit, by P. Monaghan.

• Paddy on the Hardwood: A Journey in Irish Hoops, by Rus Bradburd.

• Pint-Sized Ireland: In Search of the Perfect Guinness, by Evan McHugh.

• Granuaile: Ireland's Pirate Queen, by Anne Chambers.

· An Irish Country Village, by Patrick Taylor.

The Library also has Irish music CDs, as well as DVDs and videos of popular series such as The Irish RM and Ballykissangel.

Fever! StoryTime for

Adults Do you remember how

much fun story time was when you were a kid? The music! Puppets! Fingerplays and stories! There was even a craft time where you could make something to take home! Well, why should the kids have all the fun? With cabin fever in full swing, we thought it might do us adults some good to get together and be silly. Participation is required and fun and laughter are guaranteed. Plus we'll have

make-your-own sundaes.

Absolutely no one under

21 allowed.

March 16th Spring Book

Sale Begins Thousands of books,

videos, CDs and more—arranged by subject and a great prices. Proceeds benefit the library! Sale

Along the Winooski

River Valley Slide presentation with

popular local historian, Manuel Garcia. Enjoy old photos of early Montpelier business establishments along the Winooski. You'll see the gas and electric generating plants, the railroad, and trolley systems, and the early single span bridges that

crossed the Winooski

River.

Wed., March 25, 7 pm Dreaming of Ireland with

Lerna Celebrate a late St.

Patrick's Day with a presentation by hammered dulcimer player, Lerna, who recounts a three month voyage through

Ireland in words, pictures

and music.

Mon., March 30, 6:30 pm Transition Town Movie

Night Video shorts on raising

food in the backyard, in preparation for the second Open Space Meeting on Feeding our Communities (Saturday, April 4th). How much food can be raised around your house?
