TO THE EDITOR: THE NORTHFIELD NEWS

I AM WRITING to spark interest in our State House during the building's 150th anniversary.

I have been a gift shop volunteer for the last two summer seasons. As a volunteer, I enjoy greeting and visiting with visitors form Vermont and other states and other countries.

I get to share our visitor's enthusiasm for our lovely restored state house.

The proceeds from gift shop sales are returned to Friends of the State House and have been used over the years for preservation efforts.

Now, during our State House's 150th anniversary year, it is the perfect time to become involved.

Volunteer your time a fre hours each week or month and meet new people as you work with other volunteers.

More volunteers are needed. JOIN US.
