EX LIBRIS
More people have been coming to the Brown Public Library recently to use our public access computers and wireless network. You don't have to be a library patron, or even a Northfield resident, to use our computers. All you have to do is agree to follow our Computer and Internet Use Policy and sign in and out.
If you're looking for a job, updating your resume, or working on a cover letter, we have software that might be helpful. "Resume Maker" software is now available on one of the library computers. Just ask at the circulation desk if you'd like to try it.
The library has also acquired a "Kill A Watt" electricity usage monitor. You can use it to determine which appliances in your house are energy efficient and which are not. You just plug an appliance into the monitor and it will display the power consumption by kilowatt-hour or seven other units of measure. The monitor can be borrowed from the library for two weeks at a time.
We'll soon by in need of new volunteers to help out at the circulation desk or to take our recycling to the depot every week. Please let us know if you might be interested. Thanks.
