Roxbury Library Notes
We are halfway through our four part series on end-of-life issues. The first two programs have been well attended and quite a bit of fun, if you can judge that by the amount of laughter generated during discussions on writing wills (property and living). Many good questions have been asked and answered. As hoped, rather than being a morbid look at death and dying, the focus of these talks has been on how to make life easier for loved ones. In that same spirit of love, there will be two more programs in April: Planning Your Own Funeral: Writing Down What You Want with guest speaker Michael Donahue of Kingston Funeral Home, Thursday, April 16, 7 pm. The final program will be held on Thursday, April 30, 7 pm, a presentation by CVHHH staff on End-of-Life Care: Hospice, Hospital, Nursing Home. Both of these FREE programs will be held at the library, all are welcome, and are co-sponsored by Roxbury Union Congregational Church.

A related program will be enjoyed by the Roxbury Senior Center noontime lunch crowd on Monday, April 20th, when Vermont SMP "Savvy Seniors" will give a 30 minute performance of skits to educate people about issues of healthcare error, fraud and abuse, drug diversion, identity theft and consumer misunderstandings. If you would like to attend this free program and join us for lunch, please call the library by April 16th to reserve a space (485- 6860).
