Over 150 children and adults came to Memorial Park for the Northfield Community Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday.

Families had the opportunity to hunt for over 1000 eggs, win special prizes, and have their pictures made with the Easter Bunny.

Participants in the hunt also brought canned good and cash donations to the CERV food shelf.

In addition to the Recreation Commission, the egg hunt was sponsored this year by the members of New Life Community Church with help from the students of the Boys and Girls Club in Northfield.

Club members helped fill the eggs with candy.

Local business donated prizes and gift baskets including the Cutting Loose Beauty Stop, the Common Café, Vermont Chocolatiers, Subway of Northfield, and McDonalds of Berlin.

Trey Cates from New Life Community Church said that the church would like to thank everyone who volunteered and participated in this community event and invited all to attend their Easter services at the community room in the Brown Public Library this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
