Photo courtesy Northfield Rotary Gerard Holmes, owner of Northfield Bookstore since September 2008, spoke to the Rotary Club of Northfield last Thursday night. Mr. Holmes spoke about the experiences and challenges of running an independent bookstore in this day and age. Holmes spoke about why he moved to Northfield with his wife and 3-year old daughter and the important considerations for the future of independent bookstores in particular and small businesses in general.
