Myrtle N. Davidson, 65, Roxbury Homemaker

Myrtle N. Davidson, 65, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington. She was born in Roxbury, May 5, 1944, the daughter of Elmer & Christie (Williamson) Sayers. She is a graduate of Northfield High School, class of 1963.

She married Roger Davidson in Northfield on July 7, 1962. Mr. Davidson died February 14, 2004.

She was a member of the Roxbury Congregational Church. She liked to bake for her family, enjoyed her many church activities, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons, Todd Davidson of Northfield, Jason Davidson and his wife, Christine of Northfield Falls; six brothers, Alvin Sayers of Rutland, Allen Sayers of Worcester, Kenney Sayers of E. Montpelier, Elmer Sayers of Greensboro, Ethen Sayers of East Barre, Jimmy Sayers of Marshfield; two sisters, Madeline McDermott of Northfield, Polly Brooks of New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Danielle Harley Davidson & Jaylyn Rose Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a son, Adam Davidson, and eight siblings.

A memorial service was held last Saturday at the Roxbury Congregational Church in Roxbury. Burial followed in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Northfield.
