Photo courtesy of Rock of Ages With the Governor present, Samuel Pingree, Julian Scott and the men of the 3rd VT Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War were honored during a public open house and memorial unveiling hosted by the 18th VT Regiment at the Rock of Ages Craftsman Center in Graniteville. The regiment was attached throughout the war to the Army of the Potomac and fought in a number of battles from 1861 through 1865.
