Sarah Skinner Selected For Champlain Youth Leadership Program

The Northfield News

"Heritage in Harmony," the Vermont-Quebec-France Quadricentennial Youth Leadership Program will involve 42 people -- 12 teenagers and 2 adults from Vermont, 12 teenagers and 2 adults from Quebec, and 12 teenagers and 2 adults from France in a 6 week program funded in large part by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Vermont Council on World Affairs (www.vcwa.org).

Sarah Skinner from Northfield is one of the Vermont children selected.

The program is linked to the Champlain Quad celebration and the students will be spending 3 weeks in Vermont (June 28-July 18) learning about Vermont's history & culture before moving on to Quebec for 9 days and France for 12 days. Music will serve as a unifying link among the students: they are forming an international youth chorus called "Heritage in Harmony" that will be performing in several locations during their program.
