Mayo Healthcare recently purchased 50 brand new electric beds. A team of Mayo's staff spent an entire day unloading the delivery truck, removing the cardboard packaging and assembling the beds before they delivered them to the Residents rooms. Residents and family members were impressed that swapping out the old beds with the new beds did not interfere with the Residents normal routine of care, a new admission, a care plan meeting and our scheduled activity programs. The old beds are at least forty years old, so the new beds are extremely appreciated by both the Residents, families who operate the beds at times and all of the staff.
