Harpoon Bicycle Run Comes Through Northfield With 350 Riders On August 15
The 8th Annual Harpoon Point to Point bicycle run to benefit the Vermont Food Bank will be held on Saturday, August 15.
The run will come through Northfield and it is expected that there will be approximately 350 riders according to information furnished by Harpoon Brewery to the Northfield Police Department.
Last year, the run raised $47,000 for the Vermont Food Bank.
Riders can choose between a 110 miles route, 50 miles or 25 miles ride across the state of Vermont.
A collaborative effort by the Vermont Foodbank, the Harpoon Brewery, and The Point Radio Network, this ride was established to raise awareness and funds for the Vermont Foodbank and its efforts to end hunger in Vermont.
Riders who raise $500, will receive a one-day lift ticket from Okemo Mountain for the 2009/2010 season.
