At 9 p.m., "Masterpiece Mystery!" encores "Inspector Lewis: Expiation." Lewis and Hathaway investigate the death of an Oxford housewife, found hanged in her home.
Aug. 24: Monday at 7:30 p.m. on "Profile," Fran Stoddard interviews Craig Mitchell, a professional DJ.
At 9 p.m., the "History Detectives" team investigates mysteries, including a miniature painting that may depict George Washington.
Aug. 25: Tuesday at 8 p.m., "Nova" mounts a mind-bending investigation into black holes
At 9 p.m. on "Nova scienceNOW," Neil de Grasse Tyson and his team look at the Hubble repair mission, the link between brain structure and memory, and why earthquakes strike in the heartland.
Aug. 26: Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on "Roadside Stories With Bob Wilson," Bob flashes back to the '60s when he meets a man driving a Volkswagen Thing.
At 8 p.m., "Great Performances" presents "Harlem in Montmartre," a picture of the jazz age and the African-American expatriates in Paris between the World Wars.
Aug. 27: Thursday at 7:30 p.m., "Food Trip With Todd English" tastes the cooking and culture of Bangkok, then returns to Boston to put his stamp on Thai cuisine.
At 8 p.m., "VPT Public Square" looks at the prospects for retraining Vermont workers displaced from traditional jobs as they look to re-enter the workforce. Kristin Carlson hosts a guest panel.
At 9 p.m., the National Geographic series "Inside" tells another behind-the-scenes story. At AirVenture Oshkosh, the largest air show in the world, the best aerobatic pilots show off.
At 10 p.m., "Richard Bangs' Adventures With a Purpose" goes to Egypt to uncover ancient history, myths and culture.
Aug. 28: Friday at 9 p.m., "Bill Moyers Journal" features interviews and news analysis on a wide range of subjects, including politics, arts and culture, the media, the economy and issues facing democracy.
At 10 p.m., "P.O.V." presents "This Way Up," a documentary on the security wall Israel is constructing on the West Bank.
Aug. 29: Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on "The Thin Blue Line," Fowler (Rowan Atkinson) leads a camping trip for young offenders.
At 10 p.m. on "Austin City Limits," R.E.M. performs tunes from their album "Accelerate."
