Northfield Through November 11, The Viet Nam War: A Reflection at the Northfield Historical Society Paine House on South Main Street, photos, artifacts, rememberances from Northfield Veterans, computer interactive modules and recreation of actual living quarters in the field, every Saturday and Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. Show Extended - Artists Reflect on the Historical Collection of the Sullivan Museum, Sullivan Museum, Norwich University off South Main Street.

Montpelier Through October 25, The Figure Beyond, a show of work by Billy Brauer and his students over the last 40 years, T.W. Wood Gallery, College Hall, Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Barre Through September 19 - Studio Place Arts, third floor, Nelda S. Haley retrospective of 15 oil paintings spanning from 1952 to 2004, along with preliminary drawings and watercolors. The show will include subjects as seemingly ordinary as "Washing Machine and Vacuum Sweeper" to the superb, "Mozart Opera."

Montpelier 3:30 - 5 p.m. - Monarch Butterfly Tagging, drop by to catch, tag and release migrating monarch butterflies at the North Branch Nature Center, 713 Elm Street, FREE.

Northfield 3 - 5 p.m. - Casting Call at Northfield High School Library for 3 act play SNAFU, 5 women, 3 girls, 5 men and 1 boy needed. 6 p.m. - Free Dinner at the United Methodist Church. 7 p.m. - Concert at the Episcopal Church to benefit CERV with Elizabeth Hilgartner, soprano, Linda Radtke, alto and Ernest Drown on the harpsichord playing works by Handel, Bach, Purcell, Telemann and a few surprises, Donations to CERV.

Williamstown 3 - 6 p.m. - Farmers Market across from the Pump and Pantry.

Montpelier 7 - 8:30 a.m. - Fall Migration Bird Walk, looking for warblers, vireos and more, North Branch Nature Center, 713 Elm Street, $5 for nonmembers.
