Fifteen kids from Northfield traveled to Colchester Paintball for summer fun sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Northfield.
Along with Tony Moulton, the director of the club, Trey Cates, pastor of the New Life Church helped get the kids up to Colchester.
"For 3 1/2 hours we worked together and competed in teams and smaller groups to accomplish goals and to have fun," Tony Moulton said. "It was an opportunity for positive personal growth, to learn and practice respect, to challenge preconceived notions of physical and mental barriers and for many a rite of passage."
Tony then thanked the Drug Free Partnership of Northfield and Roxbury for paying for the van rental and Rev. Cates for volunteering to be a second driver, working with the youth and joining in the fun
He also thanked John Szewyzck for coming back briefly to assist and work and play with the kids and to Colchester Paintball for providing a 50 per cent discount.
