Northfield Through November 11 - The Viet Nam War: A Reflection, Northfield Historical Society presents a retrospective of Northfield men and women who served in the Viet Nam War including four who were killed, the show is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Paine House on South Main Street attached to the Brown Public Library. Show Extended - Artists Reflect on the Historical Collection of the Sullivan Museum, Sullivan Museum, Norwich University off South Main Street.

Montpelier Through October 25, The Figure Beyond, a show of work by Billy Brauer and his students over the last 40 years, T.W. Wood Gallery, College Hall, Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Randolph Through October 18 - Established area artists exhibit their works at the Chandler Gallery.

Barre Through September 19 - Studio Place Arts, third floor, Nelda S. Haley retrospective of 15 oil paintings spanning from 1952 to 2004, along with preliminary drawings and watercolors. The show will include subjects as seemingly ordinary as "Washing Machine and Vacuum Sweeper" to the superb, "Mozart Opera."
