Your Backyard Summer Memories
ICAN NOT help but think of ways to remember all the special moments I have had this summer. As the fall and winter approach I have thought of a way to remember all those great days minus the rain we had this summer and here are those same ways to help you remember as well.
You are going to need a few things to get started. A scrapbook of any kind will do or even a blank journal. Using a blank journal I think is best because it will give you the chance to do some writing to help remember whatever else you put in the scrapbook. After you get a book of your choice or even before you get the book go out and collect some of the beautiful flowers from the yard or some of those fantastic green maple leaves from a tree. Blades of sweet grass, flocks, even weeds can be special to some of us in some ways. Now take those items and put them between the pages of your scrapbook or journal and then write something about them, what you were doing when you found them, what you thought of them, and even the date.
This is a great way to beat "SAD" or Seasonal affective disorder which many of us suffer from when the cold moths of winter keep us locked inside with nothing to do. So give the scrapbook a try. You never know how much it will lift your spirit in the coming months.
