Ransel Leon Seaver, 85, WWII Veteran

Ransel Leon Seaver Passed away at his home in Chesapeake, Va.on August 20, 2009.He was born on February 14, 1924 in Northfield, Vermont. He was the son of Leon and Ethel (Warner) Seaver. Mr. Seaver graduated from Northfield High School in 1942 and was employed by Bell Aircraft in Buffalo N.Y .before joining the Navy where he served for 20 years.

While in the service he attended various military schools and received the silver wings of a Combat Air Crewman. He later became a Chief Crewman and served in several areas during World War II and in Japan for two years after the war.

After leaving the service he was employed by Sears in Norfolk, Va. For ten years. He and his family then moved to Ft. Myers. Fla. where he and a friend opened an RV sales business. They returned to Chesapeake, where they spent their retirement years Mr.Seaver was pre deceased by his wife of 53 years, Irene (Murphy) Seaver. Left to cherish his memory are his two children Gary Allen Seaver, of Lexington Park, Md. And Pamela Warner and her husband James of Virginia Beach., Va. Along with three grandchildren and one great grandson along with his brother, Leslie, and his wife Patricia, of Northfield, VT.

A Military service was held in Chesapeake, Va.
