Four Seasons Care Home Helps CERV By Collecting Food For The Needy

The Four Seasons Care Home in Northfield has always been generous to the community at large and this past week, a group of volunteers got together to collect food which was given to local needy families who are participaging in the CERV program.

Many volunteers have over the years collected activities supplis, baked goods, gift baskets, magazines and food around the holidays for the employees and residents of Four Seasons. So this last week, those same volunteers with the help of Four Seasons employees got together to collect food for CERV, getting enough food together to donate 20 meals for families in Northfield.

The meals included a three pound pot roast, a five pound bag of potatoes, a three pound bag of onions and a one pound bag of carrots. located across from the Rite Aid and Grand Union just off North Main Street.

Families can go to CERV at any time during their hours which are on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

If your family is not already registered, anyone needing assistance should go to CERV and fill out a simple form that will allow your family to participate in food allocations.

CERV is open to anyone that doesn't have a job or doesn't have enough income to support their family is eligible to receive food twice a month.

CERV currently supplies food to over 400 families in Northfield and Roxbury.

For the convenience of the eldery and disabled, there is also a delivery program where food can be delivered once a month.
