BARRE - For those who feel lucky, St. Monica's Super Bingo is the place to be on Sunday, October 25th. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded with the proceeds of this event to benefit Central Vermont Catholic School (CVCS).

"This is one of our school's fundraisers during the year," explained CVCS Principal Pattie O'Mahoney. The school, which now has an enrollment of 146 students in our preschool through eight grade, is alive and thriving since the merger of the Montpelier and Barre campuses. "We have a tremendous academic program, dedicated teachers, and a growing student body. Our fundraising efforts help provide scholarships to our students," O'Mahoney said.

The cost for participating in this year's Super Bingo is $25 for 12 cards with extra cards available, three for $5.00. Reservations are suggested by calling the school during school hours at 476-5015. The doors open at 10 a.m. with the first game starting at 1 p.m. The event takes place in the school cafeteria at 79 Summer Street. CVCS is located right behind St. Monica's Church in Barre. Meals, snacks and beverages are available. There will also be electronic flash boards, televisions and verifier.

"We know this is a win-win situation for CVCS," O'Mahoney said. "The school benefits, our students can continue with excellence in academics and extra-curricular programs and the greater Central Vermont community has an opportunity for a fun day out and perhaps even going home with some winnings."
