Conservation Group Working To Repair Paine Mountain Trail
The Northfield Conservation Commission along with a group of volunteers has been sprucing up the hiking trail on Paine Mountain.
Last Sunday, the group finished clearing larger trees blocking the trail and began work on the trail lean-to.
The next time the group will be working will be on November 7 when the group will be asked to carry lumber up the mountain.
The group meets around 11 a.m. just behind the Municipal Building. If you can't meet the group at 11 a.m., feel free to join them anytime throughout the day.
Anyone wishing to join the group should bring any tools they have such as chain saws, hand saws, clippers and a pair of gloves. However, if you don't have tools, don't worry and just join the group said Trish Cappolino from the commission.
