Northfield Weight Watchers have donated 33.4 pounds of non-perishable food to CERV as part of the Weight Watchers' "Lose for Good" campaign while collectively, the members lost a total of 90.4 pounds from their own bodies.

The event, in its second year, is designed to raise awareness of the fact that "over 963 million people across the world are chronically hungry, while 1.6 billion people are overweight."

To that end, Weight Watchers International has pledged again this year to donate one dollar, up to a million, for each pound its members lose. In addition, members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to local food banks.

Last year during the seven week campaign, members lost 4 million pounds, collected 1.5 million pounds of food in 2,060 food drives across the country and the Weight Watchers company gave 1 million dollars to hunger fighting organizations
