Paris Piano Trio To Appear In Capital's Unitarian Church
The Paris Piano Trio MONTPELIER - Capital City Concerts has announced that the Paris Piano Trio will be appearing at the Unitarian Church on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m
They will perform Mozart's E Major Piano Trio, K. 542, Shostakovich's Trio in E minor, Op. 67 and Schubert's Trio in B flat major, Op. 99.
These three French musicians have been connected by their love of chamber music since they were students together at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris.
They made their first tour together when Régis Pasquier, violinist, was 13 years old. Each graduated with top honors from the Conservatory (where they are all now distinguished professors) and rapidly established major solo careers.
Since then, they have often toured together in Europe and North America.
They have released numerous recordings using their French name, "Les Musiciens", under the Lyrinx and Mundi Labels. The Buffalo News wrote "They really are, as the cliche' goes, musicians' musicians. These three players are subtle, stunningly accomplished and faultlessly in sync.
They have mastered all manner of technique."
Individual tickets ($10-$25) are on sale at Bear Pond Books in Montpelier and online through the Capital City Concerts online box office at www.capitalcityconcerts.org
