SUCCESSFUL R.I.F. DISTRIBUTION! In our first paperback book give-away for the year, at least 80 books were distributed to the children of Roxbury. We gave them away at the elementary school, at local daycares, and at the library. If any pre-school children have not yet had a chance to choose their book, call or come to the library any Tuesday. Started in 1991 they provide education, support, and loving care to families welcoming a new baby. Trained volunteers share their time and wisdom in a multitude of ways. Support for pregnant moms on bedrest, assistance in gathering needed baby clothing and supplies, providing infant carriers in an array of styles, early literacy awareness, and fathering programs are some of the services offered.
