MONTPELIER - While some might spend October 30 carving a pumpkin or stocking up on candy, those who truly want to be ready for Halloween will be seeing live owls at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier (on Main St) from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

The North Branch Nature Center brings you "Creatures of the Night", a program all about these mysterious hunters of the night. In conjunction with Outreach for Earth Stewardship, a couple of live birds will be onhand for participants to see and learn about.

How do owls see in the dark? Can they really turn their heads all the way around? What do their spooky hoots mean? All questions will be answered in this up-close and personal experience. This program is just $5 for adults, $3 for children, and benefits the Nature Center. For more information please call 229-6206 or visit us on the web at www.NorthBranchNature- Center.org.
