RIVERTON - Beverly Jane Kennison, 70, of Chandler Road, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Barre, August 22, 1939, the daughter of, Stanley & Lilly Carroll. She attended Barre Schools.

She married Harold Charles Allen, Jr. on September 22, 1959, he predeceased her in 1992. She later married Ernest "Ernie" Kennison in Montpelier, on October 28, 1996.

She worked many years for Fishman's Store in Montpelier, Vermont Plastics in East Montpelier and 18 years as a caregiver for Mayo Healthcare in Northfield.

She was a member of the Northfield Senior Center, American Legion Women's Auxiliary & VFW Women's Auxiliary, in both, Northfield and Montpelier. She enjoyed collecting cow memorabilia, fishing, bird watching, dancing, knitting, crochet and playing cards. She was a frequent volunteer for the Berlin Fire Department, Northfield Senior Center and anyone who needed a hand.

Survivors include her husband, Ernie of West Berlin; two children, Donna Cushman of Chelsea, Bill Allen of Northfield; six stepchildren, Rosalie Maxham of Northfield Falls, Trudy Law of Northfield Falls, Ellie Duquette of Northfield, Tina Miller of West Berlin, Butch Kennison of Northfield, David Kennison of Barre; four siblings, June Fisk of Barre, Joanne Denno of Barre, Francis Carroll of Graniteville, Stanley Carroll of Essex; many nieces, nephews, grand children and great grandchildren; and her dog, Blondie.

She is predeceased by her brother, Edward Carroll.

Calling hours will be conducted Monday, November 2nd from 7-9 p.m. at the Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Avenue in Northfield. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 3rd at 1 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Northfield Senior Center, 168 Wall Street, Northfield, VT 05663.
