Once again Chandler's Holiday Artisans' Bazaar will offer area shoppers a wide array of affordable fine gifts for the holidays. The Bazaar opens its doors on Friday November 20 and continues through Monday December 21.
This year's show has attracted nearly 40 artisans whose work is representative of the broad range of talent in the region and features both returning artists and many new exhibitors. Among the wide range of gifts available are pottery, weaving, glass work, innovative jewelry, tree ornaments, gourmet food items, prints, original paintings, fabric art, herbal home and body care products, metalwork, dried flowers, and photographs. Many artisans are happy to take special orders.
Organizers are planning a festive holiday atmosphere with artisans' work showcased as in a store featuring fine crafts. Seasonal music and the aroma of fresh balsam will contribute to a relaxed shopping experience.
Randolph Elementary School art teacher Rebbie Carleton will offer an ornament -making workshop for students at 10 AM on Saturday December 5 with profits benefiting the Randolph Food Shelf.
A special Winter Solstice celebration is planned for Monday December 21, the final day of the bazaar. Shoppers can make paper luminaries, and enjoy delicious holiday treats and live music as they make last-minute purchases.
Shoppers will be entered into a weekly raffle at Chandler featuring the work of participating artisans. Chandler is also participating in the Randolph Area Chamber's Holiday Shopping Card promotion.
Regular Bazaar hours are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 - 4 and Friday from 10 - 7. It will also be open to accommodate Chandler patrons attending the Randolph Singers holiday concert on Sunday December 6 and Willem Lange's reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" on Sunday December 13.
