TO THE EDITOR: THE NORTHFIELD NEWS THE BOARD of Managers of the Northfield Historical Society has made a commitment that we, as a membership, will support the restoration of the Richardson Cemetery. The letter from Sarah Matthews was very timely since research for VOICES FROM THE PAST has recently uncovered some exciting information about the Richardson family, very early settlers of Northfield. Information will follow in the next issue. Contact has been made with Dominic Falzarano, Cemetery Superintendent. We will be looking for volunteers from the community and will meet with him in April to find out what he needs for help. Dominic told me this week that he has already received a call from Norwich, saying they would like to participate. Please call me at 485- 6228 if you have interest in this very important project. There will be a need for work in the initial restoration and well as some ongoing care. Thank you.
