Ex Libris Brown Public Library
I hope members of the community are checking out our website at http://www.brownpubliclibrary.org. You may not know that the site includes two art galleries, one for kids and one for adults, where area residents can display their artwork. Interested artists can attach digital photographs of their artwork to email messages addressed to: anythingelse@brownpubliclibrary.org. If you don't have access to a digital camera, you can bring your artwork to the library and the staff will photograph or scan it for you. Further instructions are found on our website -- just click on “Art Gallery” on the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the homepage.
You also may not know that you can borrow magazines from the library. Magazines, like other library materials, circulate for three weeks at a time and all except the current issues can be checked out. We have a wide selection, with some subscriptions purchased and some donated by our patrons, so stop by and see what we have. If you don’t wish to check out any magazines, you’re welcome to come in and read them in our comfortable reading area (we have area newspapers available for reading there as well). It’s a nice way to spend some time on a cold, wintry day.
