Do Well, Get Rewarded!
In efforts to highlight the academic achievements of students at
Northfield Elementary, Principal Carol Curtis, along with Ray Mikus
of Heney Realtors and Karen Hinkle of Norwich University have awarded
three students tickets to Norwich hockey games. The first tickets
have been awarded to Elijah Holmberg, left, Alec Stewart, and Olivia
Gagnon. According to Principal Curtis, “all three did outstanding jobs
on their timed math facts tests. The elementary school is working to
make the recall of math facts automatic so that students can easily
use these skills when working on harder, more thought provoking
math questions.” Future tickets will be awarded for outstanding academic
achievement, as determined by Mrs. Curtis and the teachers at
Northfield Elementary School.
