Ritchie L. Law, 58, State Equipment Operator
NORTHFIELD - Ritchie L. Law, 58, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was born in Montpelier on April 17, 1951, the son of Conrad “Bud” & Evelyn (Wheeler) Law. He was a graduate of Montpelier High School, class of 1969.
He married Candace Bell in Northfield on June 28, 1974.
Ritchie had worked for Aronson’s Farm in Berlin. He worked as a mechanic for A. Brown Auto in Barre and the Volkswagen Dealership in Berlin for a few years. In 1979, he went to work for the Vermont Department of Transportation as a highway maintenance and equipment operator, retiring this year after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working on automobiles and riding his motorcycle. Ritchie was a kind and giving man to all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Law of West Berlin; his wife, Candace Law of Northfield; two children, Clorissa & Jason Law, both of Northfield; three siblings, Terry Law of Northfield Falls, Michael Law, Charlene Gray, both of Berlin; two grandchildren; Brandon & Jade Law, both of Northfield; many nieces and nephews; and his loyal friend, his dog, Jasper.
Funeral services were conducted at the United Methodist Church in Northfield.
