Northfield Nurse Goes To Haiti To Help Earthquake Survivors

LEBANON, N.H. — A nurse from Northfield, Jennifer Clark, has gone to Haiti as part of the second team of doctors and nurses from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center to help earthquake survivors.

The medical center said that the initial team of nine doctors and nurses left the previous Saturday as part of a collaborative effort of Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Medical School, and partners in Health.

The second team which comprised mostly nurses from Dartmouth-Hitchcock and was led by Dr. Jim Geiling, the Chief of the Medical Service and Director of the Intensive Care Unit at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction.

Ms. Clark works normally in the ICU at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. She will be in Haiti as long as the team remains there to assist those in need.
