Valley Players To Present Eight Twilight Zone Plays
The Valley Players will present “In The Zone”, a series of short plays inspired by the television show “The Twilight Zone”, February 18-21 and
25-27 at 7:30 pm, and February 28 at 4:00 pm. The Valley Players Theater is located on Rt. 100 in Waitsfield Village.
The series is made up of six short plays presented by three directors and fourteen actors. Four plays will be presented each night. Each play offers tales similar to those stories told on “The Twilight Zone”, of people confronted with fears of the unknown and other-worldly encounters. “Rod Sterling brought entertainment to viewers through the form of parable”, said Teresa Langston, one of the production’s directors. “This art form allows these stories to translate very well to the stage”. Themes found in the plays include Man vs. Machine, robots, aliens, dreams, and other mysterious situations.
Each of the three directors will offer two play each. Directing in addition to Langston are Doug Bergstein, who will also play Rod Sterling, and Henry Erickson. The cast consists of familiar faces and new comers alike and includes Dan Krymkowski, Andra Kisler, Marie Schmukal, Amy Carst, Harry Shepard, Emily Rondeau, Liam Hannon, Cynthia Seckler, Sarah McDougal, Linda Iannuzzi, Tom Byrne, Sal Spinosa, Jim O’Neill, Tom Badowski, Donna Charron Cristen, Sam Robinson, and Abby Burfoot. The shows are produced by Ruth Ann Pattee and Cynthia Seckler.
