Driver Veers To Miss Snow Plow Ending Up Icy In Stony Brook

Tom Farnsworth of Marshfield was driving his van delivering papers for the Times Argus on a very cold early morning last week when he came around a corner on Stony Brook Road and met a snow plow sanding the road coming from the opposite direction. He veered to miss the plow and went over a steep embankment ending up with the front of the car in an ice clogged Stony Brook. Luckily, the van did not turn over and Tom was able to get out of the vehicle and climb up the embankment to safety.
The car was not so lucky. It took a crane to lift the car out of the brook and back onto the roadway. The car appeared to suffer extensive damage to the undercarriage, frontend and wheels.
