Photo by Rob Wills, The Northfield News The big crane wrecker had to be called in to pull the car driven by the Times Argus delivery man from Stony Brook where it had gone over the bank and into the brook. Photo by Rob Wills, The Northfield News Tom Farnsworth of Marshfield was driving his van delivering papers for the Times Argus on a very cold early morning last week when he came around a corner on Stony Brook Road and met a snow plow sanding the road coming from the opposite direction. He veered to miss the plow and went over a steep embankment ending up with the front of the car in an ice clogged Stony Brook. Luckily, the van did not turn over and Tom was able to get out of the vehicle and climb up the embankment to safety.

The car was not so lucky. It took a crane to lift the car out of the brook and back onto the roadway. The car appeared to suffer extensive damage to the undercarriage, frontend and wheels.
