School Holds Curiosity Day Hoping To Curb Smoking & Other Bad Habits Kids Pick Up

The Northfield Middle School participated in the 4th Annual Targeting Curiosity Day program.
This program is designed to build upon students' skills, knowledge, and abilities to make healthy choices.
Students attended workshops on drug and alcohol information, bullying and harassment, internet safety, healthy relationships, defining issues for skits, dangers of tobacco, and also the dangers of chewing tobacco.
Rick Bender, national speaker on spit tobacco, presented an assembly that included both the middle and high school students.
The SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) students were team leaders, as well as, assisting workshop presenters and leading students to each station.
