2010-03-18 / News

Nancy Smith, left, NPTO president presented a check in the amount of $2,190.00 dollars to Carol Curtis, Northfield Elementary Principal. The money will be used to improve the Elementary School Playground which is scheduled to undergo a complete workover this summer. “This is just the first of many Parent Teacher Organization efforts underway to help pay for the new playground that must be installed this spring,” said Ms. Smith. She added that “the PTO would like to thank all the parents for their support with this year's fund raisers that are making it possible for the PTO to help pay for the new piece of the playground and other related expenses. The Northfield Elementary School community will be needing volunteers to take out all the wooden structures, erect the new ones, and provide safe landscaping. Stay tuned for more information.
