March 28: Sunday at 8 p.m., “Nature: Clever Monkeys” explores love, language, guilt, generosity and more among monkeys.
At 9 p.m. “Masterpiece Classic” brings adventurer Richard Sharpe back in new stories. The Napoleonic era soldier if off to quash a rebellion in India.
March 29: Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Vermont Public Television’s “Profile,” Fran Stoddard interviews Moses Pendleton, the celebrated choreographer who was raised on a Vermont farm.
At 8 p.m., “Antiques Roadshow” is in Denver for the first of three programs. Experts appraise a poster of the famous Wright Flyer airplane and much more.
March 30: Tuesday at 9 p.m., it’s a new season of “VPT’s Outdoor Journal.” Lawrence Pyne goes spring fly fishing for smallmouth bass in Ferrisburgh’s Lewis Creek. Bald eagles make a comeback in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. At the southern tip of Lake Champlain, the Poultney River watershed faces a threat to its freshwater mussels.
At 10 p.m., “Frontline” tells stories of Charlie Company’s Third Platoon, a cohesive unit operating in Iraq, comparing the realities of what today’s soldiers face after the war.
March 31: Wednesday at 9 p.m., “American Masters” looks at the work of the monumental architect I.M. Pei.
At 10 p.m., a “Tavis Smiley Report” delves into one of Martin Luther King Mr.’s greatest speeches, “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence.”
April 1: Thursday at 7:30 p.m., VPT broadcasts “Working Vermont’s Democratic Primary Debate.” Live from the Old Labor Hall in Barre, the five Democratic candidates for governor will meet in their first statewide televised debate. Moderator is Marselis Parsons. The debate is sponsored by the Working Vermont Coalition, a collaboration of labor unions.
At 10 p.m., “The Adventists” explores the realities and ironies of one of the few American born religions, Seventhday Adventism.
April 2: Friday at 7 p.m. is the final installment of “Worldfocus,” which is ending production.
At 10 p.m., “Independent Lens” presents “Whatever It Takes,” following the first year of an innovative public high school in New York City’s tough South Bronx.
April 3: Saturday at 10 p.m., the ever-evolving Wilco performs. At 11 p.m., “Soundstage” presents Counting Crows.
