MIDDLETOWN, CT - Richard Bussiere, 73, of Killingworth, CT, died February 20, 2010 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT.

He was born in Northfield, VT, the son of the late Wilford & Harriet (LaMoy) Bussiere. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956, until he was honorably discharged in 1960. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a stationary engineer with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.

Richard had a passion for the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, birding, watching all the wildlife that passed through his yard and was also, an avid NASCAR fan.

He traveled back to his home town, Northfield, Vermont as often as he could.

He is survived by his life companion, Anne Bussiere of Connecticut and a large extended family in Vermont.

A graveside service in the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield is planned for this spring. Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield is in charge of the local arrangements.
