June 6: Sunday at 9 p.m. on “Masterpiece Mystery!,” Julia McKenzie stars as Agatha Christie’s spinster sleuth in another new Miss Marple story. In today’s episode, a string of murders is committed by a killer who seems obsessed with a nursery rhyme.
At 10:30 p.m., “4Troops: Live From the Intrepid” features a vocal group made up of U.S. combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. They perform standards, pop hits and new songs.
June 7: Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Vermont Public Television’s “Profile,” Fran Stoddard talks with Lauren-Glenn Davitian, who has created public access television services that foster grassroots democracy.
At 8 p.m., “The Canadian Tenors: Live in Toronto” showcases four young singers in an eclectic concert that includes classical songs and contemporary pop. They’re joined by special guests David Foster and Sara McLaughlin.
At 9:30 p.m., “Dr. Christiane Northrup: Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom” features the health expert in her new special designed to help women transform their relationships with their bodies, both inside and out.
June 8: Tuesday at 8 p.m., VPT encores its documentary “Discovering Lake Champlain,” a journey through four centuries of the rich history of the lake that includes Native and European settlement, the Revolutionary War and the age of steamboats.
At 9 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m., “Star Wars in Concert” takes a behind-the-scenes look at a multi-media event that features music by John Williams’ scores for the movie.
At 10 p.m., “Roy Orbison: In Dreams” explores the inspiring life and times – and unforgettable music – of a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer. Many of Orbison’s classic songs highlight the film.
June 9: Wednesday at 8 p.m., “Ed Sullivan’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Classics -- The ‘60s” presents some of the amazing acts Sullivan introduced to North America on his TV show from 1963 to ’68 -- from The Beatles to the Rolling Stones to The Doors.
At 10 p.m., it’s “Straight No Chaser: Live in New York,” an intimate special with the a cappella group as they perform with their trademark harmony and humor.
June 10: Thursday at 9 p.m., “Cities of Light: The Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain” takes a mesmerizing look at a centuries long era when Muslims, Christians and Jews thrived alongside one another in the same corner of Western Europe.
June 11: Friday at 10 p.m., “Independent Lens” presents “Between the Folds,” profiling modern-day origami artists.
June 12: Saturday at 7:30 p.m., the beloved series “Mulberry” continues. Miss Farnaby plans a dinner party, but an unforeseen event threatens the festivities.
At 9 p.m. on “To the Manor Born,” Richard allows the traditional Hunt Ball to be held at the manor, but Audrey refuses to organize it.
