Bikes get ready for Veterans Run from the Legion
Over ten motorcycle riders gathered at Northfield's Legion Post early on Sunday Morning to have a breakfast provided by the Legion before they proceeded to White River to link up with bikers from all over the state who traveled up to the Vermont Viet Nam Veterans Memorial on I-89 and then to the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center for a ceremony honoring Vermont Veterans. Following the ceremony the bikers drove to the Abel Mountain Campground, in Randolph, for a cookout. Each biker was asked to also bring small "comfort" items for the patients at the V.A.(Veterans Administration) Hospital in White River. Mearly 500 bikers from all over Vermont took part in the 9th annual ride. Photo by Bill Croney, The Northfield News
