Beaulah E. Bean, 90, NHS Class of 1938

Beaulah E. Bean, 90, of Berlin, VT and New Milford, CT passed away on June 14, 2010.

Mrs. Bean was born March 9, 1920 in Northfield Falls, VT, the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Shepherd) Provost. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1938. Mrs. Bean married her late husband, Willard J. Bean, in Northfield. Together they moved their family to Connecticut in 1956. Mrs. Bean retired after twenty years of employment with the State of Connecticut as a cook at the Southbury Training School.

Mrs. Bean is survived by two daughters, Gaila M. Rossiter (Peter) of Roxbury; Garnet L. Skidmore of Fitchburg, Massachusetts; two sons, Charles J. Bean (Connie) of Sharon, Joseph W. Bean (Sheryl) of New Milford, CT; one daughter-in-law, Lois (Dwy) Bean of North Carolina; one sister, Sonja Robbins of Tennessee; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Bean was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years Willard and her son Kenneth C. Bean. Six sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Burial wsd at the Calvary Cemetery in Northfielf on July 12, 2010 with the Rev. David F. Peters officiating.
