Carl Mayo Pombar, 55, Local Painter

Carl Mayo Pombar, 55, of Washbowl Road, died June 30, 2010 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born in Barre on June 21, 1955, the son of Arnold “Bill” and Pauline (Bell) Pombar. He attended Northfield Schools.

He worked a short period of time in the granite industry and then as a painter.

Survivors include his mother, Pauline Hatch of Northfield; three brothers, Edward of Berlin, Steven of Northfield, Mark Pombar of Kentucky; three sisters, Marie Evans of Barre, Elizabeth Gray of Northfield Falls, Diana Pombar of Northfield; one step sister, Geraldine Baker of Florida; long time companion, Evelyn Bedell of Northfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father, “Bill” Pombar and brother, Daryl Pombar.

A graveside service was conducted on July 10 at the Roxbury Cemetery in Roxbury.
