Pharmacy Hours

TO THE EDITOR: THE NORTHFIELD NEWS THE NORTHFIELD PHARMACY has a big sign that says Open 7 Days, Free Delivery. Yesterday was Sunday. I found myself in the ER at Berlin Hospital suffering from very painful abdominal cramping. Long story short, I left with a prescription. I thought to myself, "the Northfield Pharmacy is open 7 days a week, it's 1 in the afternoon, I can get my prescription filled right near where I live." WRONG. The Northfield Pharmacy is open until noon on Sundays. Sunday is a half day for the Northfield Pharmacy. I did not have the stamina to drive to Montpelier to get my prescription filled, I was in pain, so I had a rough night until I was able to get the prescription filled this morning, Monday. When I mentioned the inaccuracy of the sign to the pharmacist I was told "We are open until noon on Sunday, I'm sorry for your pain." While I appreciate the sentiment, accurate advertising would have been better.

The Northfield Pharmacy is open 6 and a half days a week. Take note for future reference.

I love everyone at the

I love everyone at the Northfield Pharmacy...They provide a family atmosphere....Thank you for being so accommodating...For a small town Pharmacy to be open 7 days a week...couldn't ask for more than that...If you need a 24 hr a day pharmacy where no one knows you on a friendly personal basis...Go out of town.

Walter - I'm sort of amused

Walter - I'm sort of amused that you'd write an editorial (or that John would publish) because you didn't bother to look up the hours of operation of a local business. How long have you lived in town? As our only pharmacy, without any changes to the hours in many years...most here can confirm the absence of a conspiracy :-) Though, I do hope you're feeling better.
