Lenora McDonald, 81, Worked at Rock of Ages

UPPER WEBSTERVILLE - Lenora Georgiana McDonald, 81, of Church Hill Road, died Thursday morning, July 15, 2010 at the Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin. Her family was at her bedside.

Born October 5, 1928 in Groton, she was the daughter of Stephen and Katie (Welch) Hart and had attended schools there.

On March 20, 1948, she married Edward A. McDonald. Following their marriage, they made their home in Upper Websterville where they had since resided. He died February 6, 1981.

She had been a longtime employee of the Rock of Ages Capacitor Plant which became Sprague Electric Company and later becoming S.B. Electronics, retiring as a Quality Control Manager.

We will remember her as an avid Bingo player.

She is survived by her two daughters; Donna Severy and her husband, William, of South Barre and Edna Russell of Peterborough Ontario; three grandsons; Creston and Keith Severy and Jason Russell and three granddaughters; Kathy Menard, Kelly Peloquin and Chelsea Russell and seven great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers; Stephen “Toby” Hart and his wife, Jean, of Montpelier; Francis Davidson and his wife, Joan, of Barre and Van Davidson and his wife, Denise of St. Petersburg, FL and her special sister-in-law, Joan Hart also of Barre, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her parents and her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sheila Menard, her sister, Agnes Mailhot and brother, Alexander Hart.

Her funeral was held on July 19, 2010 in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home in Barre.

Burial followed in the Wilson Cemetery in Barre Town.
