TO THE EDITOR: THE NORTHFIELD NEWS ACANDIDATE for the Vermont Senate from Barre, Laura Moore, is supporting Brian Dubie'a run for governor. The curious thing is that Ms. Moore is a Democrat and Brian Dubie is a Republican. Why would a Democratic candidate be donating money to a right wing, anti choice person of the opposition party? It's a mystery. Or, maybe not.

I tried to contact Ms. Moore after receiving campaign literature from her since her web site has no information re her political affiliation, views on the issues or the specific goals she hopes to accomplish if elected. Finally, after a week, I received an e mail asking me to contact the site again. I did not receive any answers to my questions.

I am only too willing to cast my vote to insure that Vermonters are protected by the principles of human rights and to improve our economic situation. I am, on the other hand, unable to support candidates who are not open and honest, send mixed messages and seem unaware of their political boundaries.
