Anthony J. “Tony” Russo, 69, owned Northfield Auto Par ts

ANTHONY J. “TONY” RUSSO, SR.,69, of Braintree, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born March 8, 1941 in Bayshore, L.I., NY, the son of Joseph and Grace (Noto) Russo.

He was raised in North Babylon, L.I., NY and graduated from West Babylon High School. He was married to Eleanor McNiff in Lyndenhurst, L.I., NY on September 6, 1964. They lived in North Babylon until moving to Braintree in 1971.

He owned and operated Northfield Auto Parts for 27 years, and Russo Enterprises for four years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Russo of Braintree; sons, Anthony Russo Jr. and his wife Karen Voghell-Russo of Braintree and James Russo and his wife Holly Manning-Russo of Northfield; daughter, Karen Russo-Turner and her husband Brett of Bethel; brother, Joseph Russo of Bethel; sisters, Laura Holland and her husband Pat of N. Babylon, L.I., NY and Florence Ofrias and her husband, John of Riverhead, NY; sister-in-law, Arlene Davis and her fiancé, Bill Walsh of Berlin; grandchildren, Chad Russo, Angela Russo, Gavin Turner, Toni Turner, Emily Russo, Nicholas Russo, Tyler Russo, and Jayden Russo; many nieces and nephews; extended family, the Rigney’s of Long Island, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 30th at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Randolph, with Rev. John Milanese, officiating.
