80,000 Voters Needed

TO THE EDITOR: THE NORTHFIELD NEWS THIS AUGUST 24TH, is VT Primaries Day and it will be a perfect opportunity to anonymously send a powerful message to the Democratic majority in Washington, D. C. and Montpelier about your displeasure with their past decisions and performances by voting for Republican candidates on the Democratic ballot.

This is how you do it. Take the democratic ballot:

Under Patrick Leahy’s name add Len Britton’s name as a write in candidate and fill in the oval. Personally I think Mr. Leahy has been in Washington too long and it is time to retire him.

Under Peter Welch’s name add a Republican ballot name as a write in candidate and fill in the oval. Mr. Welch has only been in Washington two terms and has already drank 12 terms worth of Kool-Aid.

Under Peter Shumlin’s name add Brian Dubie’s name as a write in candidate and fill in the oval.

Under Steve Howard’s name add Mark Snelling’s name as a write in candidate and fill in the oval.

Under Charles Merriman’s name add Chris Roy’s name as a write in candidate and fill in the oval.

You can also do the same for the local candidates.

Just imagine that the State of Vermont is an airliner wouldn’t you rather have someone with some of Sullebberger’s experience, skills, training, and responsibility to his crew and passengers at the helm?

If a Republican candidate wins on both the Democratic and Republican ballots then the race for that office is pretty much over with. Every race that is decided now is going to help in reducing the signage pollution during our colorful fall scenery.
