Harriet F. DeCoteau, 79, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Rowan Court Nursing Home in Barre. She was born in Northfield on October 18, 1930, the daughter of Harry S. & Blanche (Gilpin) Fogg. She is a graduate of Northfield High School, class of 1948.

She married Warren DeCoteau at St. John The Evangelist Church in Northfield on July 25, 1953. He died January 24, 1982.

Harriet worked her entire career for Northfield Telephone Company and later for TDS Telecom in Northfield. She retired from the telephone company in 1996, after 37 years of service.

She was a member of the Northfield Falls Methodist Church. She loved to play cards, bingo and visit with friends.

Survivors include her sister, Beverly Hall of Northfield; one grandson, Timothy W. Rigsby and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa DeCoteau; sister, Frances Bell ; and her husband, Warren.

In keeping with her wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside service was conducted on August 10 at the Northfield Falls Cemetery.
