9/11 To Be Celebrated On The Common

The Northfield News

Summer is almost over, BUT, our time to support and honor is not. Now it is time to Remember.

How do you remember September 11, 2001? It is time to put those remembrances into action.

You are invited to join the Town of Northfield in showing honor and tribute.

IT IS MORE THAN THAT ONE DAY, IT IS ALL THE DAYS SINCE, ALL THE LIVES CHANGED SINCE, ALL THE FAMILIES SACRIFICING, ALL THAT ……….

The evening starts by gathering at the Fire Station at 6:15. The groups get lined up, and after a short prayer, the personnel of the area emergency services walk/march to the Northfield Common. At 7 pm everyone is greeted and the public is encouraged to share their remembrances as well. After the speeches, prayers and music there is a candle lighting ceremony as we remember and pay tribute to all: those who gave their lives, those who have served and those now serving to keep America safe and free.

How would you like to be involved? First, come and remember with us. Any individual is encouraged to be involved. As a group please join in the walk to the common. Does anyone within the group have a story, a poem, a song, or a prayer? Please feel invited to share. In order to make sure no one gets over looked, please call Chris Alger 802-279-0162 or Pastor Paul Ciampaglia 802-279-4752 so your group or name can be included in the program.
